Sydney is by far our longest international route — typically 8-12 weeks by sea container from Felixstowe or Southampton to Port Botany. Collection anywhere in the London M25 area, export packing on site with DAFF-compliant preparation, then consolidation at our Oxfordshire depot for container loading. Container arrives sealed at Port Botany, clears Australian Border Force customs and DAFF quarantine through our Sydney destination agent, and delivers into your Sydney address.

Australia has the strictest biosecurity regime in the world, administered by DAFF. Every container is inspected on arrival at Port Botany. Wooden items, outdoor furniture, garden tools, footwear, bicycles, prams and sports equipment are all quarantine-sensitive and can be held, treated or destroyed if not properly declared and prepared.

We advise clients from the survey stage on what to leave behind, what to clean thoroughly (garden tools, boots, bikes must be spotless — no soil, no plant matter) and what to declare on the DAFF questionnaire. Our Sydney destination agent handles the quarantine clearance and any treatments required.

Returning Australian residents and new Australian arrivals can import used personal effects duty- and GST-free under the Unaccompanied Personal Effects (UPE) declaration, provided items have been owned and used abroad for at least 12 months. Our Sydney agent files the UPE on your behalf and handles ABF examination if the container is inspected.

Typical destination timeline: arrival at Port Botany, 5-10 days port handling, 5-14 days ABF and DAFF clearance (longer if a fumigation or treatment is required), final delivery within 5 working days of clearance.

Airfreight priced per m³ for urgent partials, typically 3-4× the per-cubic-metre rate of sea. Any DAFF-mandated treatment or fumigation is passed through at cost with the invoice attached.
