Customs Paperwork
We prepare the destination customs declaration, transit documents and Transfer of Residence paperwork where applicable and submit them in advance of the vehicle / container arrival.

Transit & Delivery

Dublin, Cork, Galway — and why Northern Ireland is different
Republic of Ireland deliveries (Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Waterford) require full EU customs paperwork since Brexit, even though it's a short ferry hop. Northern Ireland deliveries (Belfast, Derry, Lisburn) are domestic UK moves with no customs declaration required under the Windsor Framework.
Dublin city centre deliveries often need parking arrangements through the local council. Cork and Galway are usually more straightforward access. Rural deliveries across Connemara, Donegal and Kerry are common we'll quote access at survey.
Ferry routes — Holyhead, Pembroke, Liverpool
Most of our Republic of Ireland trips run via Holyhead to Dublin (Irish Ferries / Stena) — about 3-4 hours crossing. Pembroke to Rosslare is the second route, useful for Cork, Waterford and the south. Liverpool to Belfast handles Northern Ireland.
We book the ferry as part of the move and absorb fuel and crossing fees in the fixed quote — no surcharges on the day.
Transfer of Residence into the Republic and the Brexit paperwork
Since 1 January 2021, the Republic of Ireland is treated like any other EU import. New Irish residents qualify for Transfer of Residence relief on used personal effects owned for more than 6 months — exempting them from Irish VAT and duty.
You'll need a PPS number, proof of an Irish address and a valued inventory. We handle the submission to Revenue (Irish customs) as part of the move.

Many Ireland relocations involve a gap between leaving the UK property and the container or van loading. We run secure, insured short and long-term storage at our Crowmarsh Gifford depot useful when you have completed your UK sale but the Ireland property isn't ready yet.
Storage is invoiced monthly and can be combined with the export packing and Ireland shipment under a single coordinator and single quote.
