Newspaper and bubble wrap are not the same thing. Newsprint stains gilded frames, household bubble wrap fuses to lacquered finishes in heat, and undersized cartons crush even the strongest ceramic.

We use museum-grade materials acid-free tissue, glassine, Tyvek, custom-cut foam and double-walled fragile cartons because they're the right tools for the job, not because they sound impressive.

Oversized mirrors, marble tops, glass cabinet panes and large fine art pieces are not safe wrapped alone. We build bespoke flat-pack or rigid crates on site or in our workshop, sized to the item, with internal foam supports and external strapping points.

Crating sounds expensive but for a single irreplaceable piece it's the cheapest insurance you can buy.

Every fragile item is logged, photographed at collection and photographed again at delivery before being unpacked. If anything is questioned, the documentation is there. In a decade of moves this has resolved every single fragile-related conversation calmly.

For very high value items we'll always recommend agreeing cover values in writing before move day, so the insurance side is settled before anything is wrapped.

We regularly work with antique dealers across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds, estate solicitors handling probate clearances and private collectors. We're comfortable taking instructions on behalf of a third party and reporting back to multiple parties.

For collections being split between heirs we can split deliveries to multiple addresses on the same job, with documented inventories for each destination.
