UK to France Removals

We deliver into the major France cities every month: Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nice / French Riviera, Lyon, Marseille, Dordogne, Brittany. Rural and inland addresses are handled via our destination agent's shuttle network.

Indicative pricing for a UK to France move: £900 (small part-load to northern France) up to £5,500+ (dedicated 4-bed home to the South). Every quote is fixed in writing after a survey no day-of surprises.

Paris and the Île-de-France are dense apartment moves — parking permits (autorisation de stationnement) and a shuttle van are normal. Bordeaux and Toulouse are typical city-edge moves with reasonable access. The Dordogne and Lot are rural villa / farmhouse moves where we'll survey the lane width carefully before quoting.

Nice, Cannes, Antibes and the wider Côte d'Azur are popular for UK movers — narrow streets, height restrictions and resident parking are normal so we plan vehicle size around the destination, not the origin.

Post-Brexit, UK personal effects moving to France need a formal customs declaration at the French border. New French residents can claim Transfer of Residence relief and import used household goods VAT and duty free, provided items have been owned for over 6 months and the move happens within 12 months of residency.

You'll need a Certificat de Changement de Résidence from your local mairie or a French consulate — we'll brief you on exactly when to apply.

France is one of the few European destinations where a single man-and-van trip from southern England is viable for very small moves (studio flats, single rooms, second homes). Larger moves use a dedicated van or our shared part-load schedule which runs north-to-south every 2-3 weeks.

If you are part-furnishing a holiday home or second residence, we can split the load across multiple trips on the same fixed quote.

If you'd like to ship a vehicle alongside your move, mention it at the survey stage we can usually coordinate both on the same booking.

Many France relocations involve a gap between leaving the UK property and the container or van loading. We run secure, insured short and long-term storage at our Crowmarsh Gifford depot useful when you have completed your UK sale but the France property isn't ready yet.

Storage is invoiced monthly and can be combined with the export packing and France shipment under a single coordinator and single quote.
