UK to Spain Removals

We deliver into the major Spain cities every month: Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Malaga / Costa del Sol, Marbella, Murcia, Bilbao. Rural and inland addresses are handled via our destination agent's shuttle network.

Indicative pricing for a UK to Spain move: £1,400 (shared part-load, small 1-bed) up to £6,500+ (dedicated 4-bed villa move). Every quote is fixed in writing after a survey no day-of surprises.

A Costa del Sol move (Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola, Mijas) typically lands in a villa or townhouse with reasonable vehicle access we run the route Eurotunnel, through France, over the Pyrenees at Biriatou and down the AP-7 / A-7 along the Mediterranean coast. Costa Blanca (Alicante, Javea, Moraira, Denia, Calpe) follows the same route but adds a day's drive.

Barcelona deliveries are typically apartments with restricted parking and we'll plan a shuttle vehicle in advance. Madrid is a longer inland leg and customs paperwork is occasionally checked at the central inland customs office (TIVA).

Since 1 January 2021, household goods moving from the UK to Spain require a formal customs declaration. We handle this end-to-end: valued inventory in English and Spanish, T1 transit document and the DUA (Documento Único Administrativo) at the Spanish border.

If you are becoming a Spanish resident, you can claim Transfer of Residence (ToR) relief and avoid Spanish VAT and import duties on used personal effects (typically owned for more than 6 months). You will need your padron certificate, NIE/TIE and proof of ownership we will guide you through exactly what to send.

We do not transport live pets in the moving vehicle but we work with established pet transport partners across the South of England who handle dogs and cats to Spain regularly. Plants are very restricted at the EU border most types are not allowed without a phytosanitary certificate, so plan to rehome them in the UK.

Driving licences, S1 health forms, residency timelines (90/180 day Schengen rule) and Spanish bank accounts are all worth sorting before the move arrives we are happy to point you to specialist relocation partners.

If you'd like to ship a vehicle alongside your move, mention it at the survey stage we can usually coordinate both on the same booking.

Many Spain relocations involve a gap between leaving the UK property and the container or van loading. We run secure, insured short and long-term storage at our Crowmarsh Gifford depot useful when you have completed your UK sale but the Spain property isn't ready yet.

Storage is invoiced monthly and can be combined with the export packing and Spain shipment under a single coordinator and single quote.
