GDPR & Your Rights
Your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the lawful bases we rely on, and exactly how to make a request.
1. Who is the data controller?
Dimond Movers Ltd (company number 13745285, VAT 397042477), trading as Dimond Movers, registered at Guald Yard, Unit A, Old Reading Road, Crowmarsh Gifford, OX10 8BW, United Kingdom, is the data controller of personal data submitted through https://www.dimondmovers.uk and through quote requests routed via MoveQuoteLocal.co.uk.

2. Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights in respect of personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data while you challenge it.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Rights related to automated decision-making — we do not make solely automated decisions with legal effect about you.
3. Lawful bases we rely on
- Consent — for cookies (non-essential categories), marketing emails and uploading optional media.
- Contract — to provide a quote you requested and to deliver removals services you book.
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure and improve our website and lead-routing platform; to prevent fraud and abuse.
- Legal obligation — to retain accounting records under HMRC rules and to comply with court orders.
4. Making a data-rights request
The fastest way to exercise your rights is to use our online forms:
- Request data deletion (Right to be Forgotten)
- Request a copy of my data (Subject Access / Portability)
You can also email info@dimondmovers.uk. We respond within 30 calendar days. We may extend this by a further two months for complex requests and will tell you if we do.
5. Identity verification
To protect you from impersonation we will verify your identity before acting on requests. We will only ask for the minimum information needed (typically matching the email and phone number on the original quote request, or — for higher-risk requests — a photo of a redacted ID).
6. No fee
We do not charge a fee to exercise your rights. We may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to act, only if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive (e.g. repetitive). We would explain why before doing so.
7. Complaints to the ICO
If we cannot resolve your complaint, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
