Central London needs CPZ visitor permits or suspended-bay applications, typically 7-10 working days lead time; ULEZ-compliant vehicles only inside the zone (our fleet is fully compliant).

UCL halls (Astor College, Ramsay Hall, Schafer House, Frances Gardner) are clustered around Bloomsbury and Camden. King's (Stamford Street, Champion Hill, Great Dover Street) sit south of the river. Imperial (Beit Hall, Pembridge, Wilson House) are in South Kensington and Notting Hill. LSE (Bankside, Passfield, Rosebery, Northumberland) span Southwark and Holborn.

Each hall has its own loading bay protocol — some require advance booking with hall reception, some require a council parking-bay suspension. We handle the paperwork as part of the booking.

Second and third year London students typically move out to shared flats — Bloomsbury (WC1), Camden (NW1), Mile End (E1), Shoreditch (E2), Brixton (SW9), Peckham (SE15), Acton (W3) are some of the most common areas. Almost every London street is a CPZ requiring a visitor permit or bay suspension for the moving vehicle.

We apply for the suspension or permit 7-10 working days in advance (small council fee, passed through at cost) and time the move to the permitted window.

Most London halls require a full clear-out between academic years, and shared-flat tenancies typically end on 30 June or 31 July with a gap before the next year starts. We collect at end of June or end of July, store at Crowmarsh Gifford (our depot 60 miles west of London) and redeliver in September.

Book 2-3 weeks in advance for the peak last week of June; mid-week and earlier-in-June dates are usually fine at shorter notice. Send us a couple of photos of the room or shared house and a list of any large items (mini fridge, monitor, bike) so we size the van correctly.

Use ordinary boxes or reuse the boxes you arrived with cardboard from local supermarkets is free and works fine for books, clothes and bedding. We bring blankets for furniture and the larger items.
