Paphos (Kato Paphos, Tala, Peyia) is villa territory — usually straightforward vehicle access from the Limassol port after clearance. Limassol itself is mixed apartments and villas along the Germasogeia coast. Larnaca and the interior are less common but well-covered by our Cypriot agent.
Cypriot road humidity and salt-air corrosion on the coast mean export-grade wrapping matters — we use marine-grade materials for the container leg.
A 20ft sole-use container fits a 1-2 bed apartment and typically transits in 3-4 weeks. A 40ft fits a 3-5 bed home in 4-5 weeks. Shared / consolidated container costs are lower but wait times can stretch to 6-8 weeks while we fill the container.

Cyprus moves are not simply long European road jobs. There is always a sea leg, which means the schedule is set by sailings and consolidation rather than by how quickly a van can drive. That is why the honest answer to 'when will it arrive?' is a window, and why we would rather give you a realistic two-to-four-week range than a date we cannot control.
The single biggest cost lever is whether you share space. Most people moving to Cyprus are going into a property that is at least partly furnished, so a part-load of personal effects, kitchen items, artwork and a few favourite pieces of furniture is the sensible answer. A sole-use consignment makes sense for a full household or where you need a firm delivery date to match a completion.
Access at the Cyprus end deserves more attention than it usually gets. Paphos and the hill villages behind it have steep, narrow lanes where a full-size vehicle simply cannot turn, so the load is transferred to a smaller shuttle for the last stretch. Limassol's newer apartment towers need the lift and a parking bay arranged in advance. Larnaca and Nicosia sit in between. We ask for photos or a video of the destination access at survey and quote the shuttle openly if one is needed, rather than treating it as a surprise on delivery day.
Practically, most Cyprus households ship more outdoor and appliance items than they expect. Garden furniture, barbecues, tools and good white goods usually justify their space because replacing them locally can cost more than moving them. Wicker, upholstery and anything with a fabric surface should be properly covered for the sea leg — humidity, not distance, is what damages soft furnishings in transit.
