UAE residency status drives the customs treatment. To clear personal effects duty-free, you need a valid UAE residency visa and Emirates ID at delivery — without it, used effects attract 5% customs duty. We time the container arrival to your visa where possible.
Household goods, furniture, electronics, artwork, books and personal effects ship without issue. Alcohol cannot be included in a household shipment to the UAE — the whole container can be held if found. UAE residents can buy alcohol in-country under a personal licence; we advise removing all alcohol before packing.
