Removals from Italy to Portsmouth

Since Brexit, personal effects entering the UK from Italy need a formal customs declaration. Returning UK residents and new UK arrivals can claim UK Transfer of Residence (ToR1) relief and import used household goods VAT- and duty-free, provided items have been owned and used abroad for at least 6 months and the move happens within 12 months of establishing UK residency.

We prepare the ToR1 application, the C3 / C5 customs declaration and the inventory in English (and Italian where required) so nothing stalls at Dover, Folkestone or Killingholme.

Portsmouth City Council permit suspensions are quick — 5-10 working days. We arrange the Portsmouth parking permit and lift booking before the vehicle leaves Rome so the unload runs to the same tight schedule as our domestic UK moves.
