Since Brexit, personal effects entering the UK from Spain need a formal customs declaration. Returning UK residents and new UK arrivals can claim UK Transfer of Residence (ToR1) relief and import used household goods VAT- and duty-free, provided items have been owned and used abroad for at least 6 months and the move happens within 12 months of establishing UK residency.

We prepare the ToR1 application, the C3 / C5 customs declaration and the inventory in English (and Spanish where required) so nothing stalls at Dover, Folkestone or Killingholme.

Leeds City Council permits are typically issued in 3-5 working days and we always arrange them before quoting. We arrange the Leeds parking permit and lift booking before the vehicle leaves Madrid so the unload runs to the same tight schedule as our domestic UK moves.
