Removals from USA to Liverpool

Customs is administered state by state by US CBP, and personal effects relief on form CF-3299 covers used household goods. Inbound moves use the same door-to-door coordinator, the same insured crew and the same fixed written pricing model as our UK-to-USA work — no local USA agent handing you off at the border.

Since Brexit, personal effects entering the UK from USA need a formal customs declaration. Returning UK residents and new UK arrivals can claim UK Transfer of Residence (ToR1) relief and import used household goods VAT- and duty-free, provided items have been owned and used abroad for at least 6 months and the move happens within 12 months of establishing UK residency.

We prepare the ToR1 application, the C3 / C5 customs declaration and the inventory in English (and the local language where required) so nothing stalls at Dover, Folkestone or Killingholme.

Liverpool City Council suspends bays with 5 working days' notice; we handle the application as standard. We arrange the Liverpool parking permit and lift booking before the vehicle leaves Washington DC so the unload runs to the same tight schedule as our domestic UK moves.
